HE’S HER REASON TO STAY Abby Burke has moved from one new place to another for as long as she can remember. Haunted by an unstable mother, she refuses to build lasting connections. Fear of genetic reasoning – of becoming her mother – makes it easy to remain emotionally detached. She’d never subject someone she loved to the horrors of her mother’s illness, even if Bracken Elliot, his son, and love - present the ultimate temptation to stay. SHE’S HIS REASON TO LIVE AGAIN Captain Bracken Elliot knows how fragile life can be. Ever since the deaths of his wife and youngest son, he’s played by the rules. But his careful existence is turned upside down when his sixteen year old, deaf son is kicked out of school and the newest member of his Fire & Rescue team is an ex-coast guard diver, whose one passion seems to be ignoring any order she receives. But Abby’s smile and lust for life bring a light back into his son’s eyes, even as she touches a place in Brack’s heart that he’d thought long dead. Does he dare to take the biggest risk of all - falling in love again? To vote for this title to win Fan Favorite, click Reply and leave a comment--or even just a smiley or thumbs-up. | If ever I've read a jacket copy that sends the message of HAE this one does. It proves to have everything in it a romance novel should have. Great job. Looks like I've got another book to put on my wish list when it's released. Congratulations and good luck. |

Congrats and big wave to my wonderful WP Candi. What a great accomplishement to see to of her stories be featured on the Dorchester site.
I do love to read contemporary (even though I write paranormal-go figure!)
And the cover copy for Stay has it all for me. In these hard times, it is nice to see a story of two ordinary hard-working people who make it in the end.
The blurb really tug at my heartstrings right away, promises a lot of depth and engages my emotions immediately from this short read. I feel I know and care for the characters already.
Very well done. __________________ Marie-Claude Bourque
